DIY Rodarte Stars Hair Pin

The Most Stylish Accessory For Party Season — And You Can Make It

Hair accessories can often look childish, not chic. But we took a note from Rodarte's Fall 2012 runway and decided to see for ourselves if star hair accessories really are out of this world. It turns out, they are. See how to make your own in today's Bella How-To. On Kirbie Johnson: H&M dress. Note: You can pick up star nail studs needed for this project here.

Love this DIY and would do this but what measurements are the stars?

Oh how weird! The prongs are really different in the photo so I thought they were different! Thanks for the clarification!

Also, this site has some options you might like as well! http://www.dreamtimecreations.com/category/175/nailheads-and-settings/nailheads-and-studs/star-nailheads/

@Katalyst The photo is deceiving -- they are the same! They come in a variety of sizes, and we sprayed them with the paint to make them more gold. If you don't like those, you can search online -- there are plenty of retailers out there that have them, just make sure they have the teeth on the back. Thanks for watching!

Where did you buy the actual star nailstuds that you actually used in the video (including the different sizes)? They don't look anything like the etsy link you attached.
