Do You Match Your Makeup To Your Outfit?

Gwyneth Paltrow was looking rested, happy and very blonde at the 2007 Comic-Con Press Panel in San Diego over the weekend. Her makeup was really simple, except for the bold red lip she wore to match her pink-and-red dress. Tell me, do you match your makeup to your clothes?

I do.. I do... Since I have a deeper complextion every color looks good on me... I only play it up with eyeshadow tho... No purple lipstick here...

On the day-to-day basis, I don't match it to exactly what I'm wearing. I will switch up my daily eyeshadow and lip gloss shades to compliment what I'm wearing. Now when I'm going out, I'll try to match the shades and really make the whole look from head to toe POP! :)

I syntonize my makeup to my outfit, I don't go extreme. Just try to look natural and compatible at the same time.

A if I'm wearing bright colors, I'll wear red lipstick, and if I'm wearing light colors, I'll wear a lighter pink lipstick and less eye makeup.

Rarely ever do. If I do it's unintentional and I don't even realize it

I think that Gwyneth would look better with a nude lip too. The red lipstick overpowers her beautiful face. I don't really match my makeup exactly to my clothing, but I do try to coordinate my makeup somewhat.

Gwyneth's dressing si so overpowering - i think a nude lip would better.

occasionally i'll use a subdued version of what i'm wearing clothes-wise, but usually i don't.

I coordinate them, but not really match.

There are those rare times that I do. But really, I don't want to be all bridesmaidsy everyday!

Not really however the makeup really depends on the outfit; I don't believe in matching, it's about it complimenting the outift, not fighting for attention(do I look at the bright makeup or the bold dress?)

I try not to match per se, but I will go for a complementary color (opposites on ye olde color wheel) sometimes. Or I'll just wear whatever suits me. I like to play with color. When I first started wearing makeup, I did match it with my outfit, but after I saw an older lady wearing jade green eyeshadow with a sweater the EXACT same color, I had second thoughts.

I ALWAYS match my shadow with my outfit...there's nothing worse than a black outfit and brown shadow!!

I'm with rubi, I love matching a green or turquoise top with a hint of matching eyeshadow (it really plays up my peepers!) or a teal top with a golden shadow and teal eyeliner. I like to play, but try never to look too pre-packaged!
