Doing Drugstore: Styli-Style Hipsticks

Being the habitual browser that I am, I couldn't help but try out this hip new lip product from Styli-Style called Hipstick ($7.99). The bright packaging, the fun name and the shiny product oozing through the felt-tip applicator were too enticing to resist.

And the texture is equally as exciting. It's incredibly creamy and sheer, falling somewhere between a lipstick and a gloss. It's even fun to apply. Just twist the base and watch the color filter to the top. The soft, angled tip is contoured to fit your lip, making the application foolproof and smooth.

The only drawback is that it doesn't last as long as I'd like. It seems like the more often you rub your lips together, the faster it vanishes into your skin. While it's wonderfully moisturizing, when I apply color to my lips, I'd like it to stick around, or else I'd just as soon wear a lip balm. But if you're interested, Hipstick is available in 12 colors ranging from neutral nudes to deep berries and is available in drugstores.

I'm interested in trying these, but I wonder what the flavor/scent impression is. Anyone?

I haven't shopped for cosmetics at a drugstore in years (what can I say, I'm a Neiman Marcus kind of girl), but I'll look into this. I am a product junkie!

That's what I was going to say Emalove! It looks alot like the Revlon Lip Sheers and I liked those, so I might try this.

It doesn't look bad! Kind of reminds me of those Revlon Lip Sheers, they have the same type of applicator.

I love Styli-Style! You have this as drugstore--who carries the line? I've only seen it online/listed in mag ad section. Of all the products I've tried, they're all good quality, great colors, and lip items (that I have) are similar to the same idea as Aveda's spiced lip products...yum!

I don't like that it "oozes". That's just really unappealing. :(

I'll have to check this out. I love Styli-Style--their flat eye pencils are the best.

I have a TooFaced gloss like this which I really love, but I might check these out just to vary things up a bit! Especially cos I really like the applicator...

I used to have a lipgloss from Maybelline exactly like this. I loved it but I have no idea where it went. (Sigh.) I might have to check these out! They seem like they'd be great for a night out or something relatively limited in time.

I'm curious, do you know what the shade of the lipstick on top is called? I used to have an Avon lipstick that was basically exactly like this - same packaging style (twist top with the little beads of colour coming out the top) and the colour I had looked exactly like that one!! I ran out of it a while ago and I was sooo sad, and it had been one of their limited edition makeup items like 4 years ago! But this one looks VERY similar!
