Enbrightenment BriteSmile Whitener and Tarte Lipgloss

New Product Alert: Enbrightenment BriteSmile Whitener and Tarte Lip Gloss

I haven't tried this new Enbrightenment BriteSmile Whitener & Tarte Lipgloss ($26) yet, but it totally caught my eye when I was web shopping over the weekend. From what I understand, one side of the tube contains a vitamin-rich lip gloss and the other side houses a teeth-whitening formula.

The teeth-whitening side contains .05 oz. of BriteSmile bleaching formula with a brush on the end of the wand to facilitate application. I've heard mixed reviews about BriteSmile. Some say it's worked wonders, while others have experienced overbearing toothaches and post-treatment sensitivity.

The lip gloss side contains .05 oz. of antioxidant-rich fruits such as goji berry, maracuja, acerola, pomegranate, jojoba seed oil, and acai and there's also a brush on the end for smooth and even application. The two available shades; pearly pink and radiant red are described as sheer with a peppermint flavor. The idea behind the product sounds interesting and practical enough to me — a bright, white smile (within 14 days) enhanced by a lip gloss. Have any of you tried it yet? If so, what are your thoughts?

I got this the other day at Sephora and once I figured out how to work it, I kind of enjoyed the product. The center of the lip gloss whitening stick duo has this semi-awkward sliding bar that doesn't seem to click firmly into place which to me is a major design flaw. If one doesn't make sure the mechanism is firmly clicked, then the product doesn't work. PLUS, it's not clear at first which way to click the device in order to get the intended product. I loved the idea because it's so what women want but think that tarte hasn't quite gotten the product's container design right just yet.

Tarte isn't known for dental products so I'm kinda skeptical to use something like this from this company...

This looks awesome but I could never use it because my teeth are so sensitive to whitening products. :(

I've been wanting this but if any of the bad reviews are true I shouldn't get it because I have sensitive teeth.

I've been wanting this for awhile now in Pearly Pink. Although I have to wait since I need to wear a retainer & the site says to use britesmile you cannot wear an overnight applicance.

This is the first I hear of this product. I am going to have to read more reviews on it.

saw this online and then looked at it at the store. to me, the whole pen looked kinda flimsy and cheap in person, but that might have been the rough handling it got at sephora - the teeth brightening end was defining tinged pink. uhm, EW? someone must have not read the product name and also been disgusting and used the tester directly on themselves! can't imagine that's good for the lips. anyway, after seeing in person, i decided i have plenty of lipglosses, but am still interested in getting some kind of tooth whitening pen - i know rembrandt has one too.

I'd need to hear if Britesmile pens are worth it.

I really like Tarte, and this caught my eye when I saw it on Sephora, but then I realised that 1) I have way too much lipgloss anyway and 2) I get my tooth-whitening services and products for FREE, from my mother. So I shall give this a pass, although the idea is pretty cool.

I've used the Britesmile whitening pens before...they actually don't bother my teeth! And my teeth are actually fairly sensitive (Crest Whitestrips hurt!). Of course, the in-house Britesmile whitening treatments might be a different story (it's like Zoom!). I think this is a neat idea that I actually might consider trying!
