Eye Palettes To Enhance Your Eye Color: Green Eyes

Welcome to my third installment of Eye Palettes to Enhance Your Eye Color. This post features green shaded shadows created especially to make green eyes pop! Green has both a warming and cooling effect on the eyes. The color symbolizes: balance, harmony, and stability. You can use bright, chartreuse colors for a springtime feel or darker more olive colors for a fall/winter look.

Each of these palettes include three to four shades of just the right greens and golds to perfectly enhance your eyes. The lightest neutral shade is the highlighter and goes just beneath your brow-bone; the medium color should be swept all over your lid and the darkest is applied to the crease. Stay tuned for one more palette tomorrow to suit blue eyes!

Du Wop Eye Shadow Palette in Green Eyes, $32, is a collection of six smooth, light and brilliant green-hued eye shadows. The palette contains three shades of the color shadow base, a gold shadow to give your eyes a metallic shimmer and a deep forest green cream liner.

The colors are: soft golden green, soft lime, rich forest green, chartreuse, deep green cream liner and gold. The colors are easily blend-able and they won't crease!

For more groovy green eye shadow palettes,

Laura Mercier Evolution of Colour for Eyes in Rainforest, $36, is a gorgeous eyeshadow quad. The colors can easily take you from day to night by adding the deepest green to your crease and the lightest shade to your brow for a more dramatic effect.

You can wear each one alone or blend them together to create your own look. Laura Mercier shadows are phenomenal, I've been wearing them for over a decade. They are crease resistant, long lasting and the colors are highly pigmented so just a little goes a long way. This awesome palette is now offered in four other beautiful color spectrums too!

Burjois Eye Shadow Trio in Les Verts, $18, is made from ultra-fine powder that feels and looks like satin on your eyes.

This palette creates a more soft, subtle effect than the others. The colors included are: a pale green for highlighting, a shimmery sage green for all over color and a forest green for the crease or for lining. Enjoy.

I, as a green eyed girl, prefer navy blue or shimmery brown earth tones to make my eyes pop. I did have blue eyes as a child, though, so some of it still remains.

I can wear green but have to watch what color greens I wear. Almay Trio for Greens looks great. I also have hazel in my eyes so I have their hazel trio too.

I have to work complimentary colors too. My eyes are a deep olive and purple shadows make the green seem brighter and more vibrant. Burgundy is also good, although you have to be careful to make it not look like a bruise/inflammation. But green shadows (all of them) just make my eyes an indeterminate muddy color.

Mind you, now that I think about it, I only ever wear greys, browns and hints of purple....I've never tried green shadow against green eyes. I wonder if it's weird, kinda like blue shadow on blue eyes. Hmmm :?

Ooooh very cool! I have green/grey eyes and one has a gold-coloured splash in it. It's weird, but really pops if i play up the green.

Green eye shadows with my eyes does not go well. I have very true green eyes. Purple and greys make them pop more. I've tried a thousand times to use greens and they just don't go well. Now, if I wear green clothes, my eyes pop more... It might just be the shade of green.. who knows.

Green shadows against my green eyes just don't look right. Mine are a light golden green and I've tried many different shades of green from mint to army and none of them look right. Anything slightly copper, purple or golden looks awesome though.

I've also found that using purples on green eyes makes them pop more. Using greens just sort of makes green eyes blend in more, like you're camouflaging them.

Like JessNess, I was taught to wear opposite colors. Purples do well with green eyes. My eyes are cool but annoying in that they change from green to blue depending on what I'm wearing. They look more blue today, cause I have a slate blue sweater on.

Does anyone know if these work well with hazel green eyes? I assume they do

hmmmmm Im not so sure about wearing the same shadow color as eye color. Maybe its different with green eyes. I have blue eyes and have always been taught by makeup artists that to really make them pop you should wear opposite colors. So for green eyes plum colors would make them stand out the most. For my blue eyes I wear bronze/copper shades because those colors really make them stand out. If I wear any shade of blue it competes too much with my color

Oh goody, MORE pallet's to experiment with. Think I've been putting the wrong shade in my crease area. I also thought several shades of green would be to matchy- matchy with green eyes. This sure is an education. Thanks Bella. :-)

Very pretty choices for spring.

Thanks, bella! My eyes are a clear dark green and I've just recently embraced wearing green eye shadow to draw out the green. I still wear my greys and plums, but for a long time I avoided green because I thought it looked too matchy-matchy. This is awesome.
