Fab Flash: GAP Gets Creative With Whites

We love it when huge companies team up with designers to bring affordable high fashion to the masses. It has been reported that Gap Inc. has commissioned three of the 2006 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winners to design a limited edition collection for their stores.

The designers are: Kate and Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte, Doo-Ri Chung of Doo.Ri, and Thakoon Panichgul of Thakoon. The idea behind all of this was inspired by Gap's white shirt campaign.

We don't know all of the details, but we do know the designers were given a classic Gap white button down shirt to create something exceptional with.

The shirts (among other items) will launch alongside the white campaign. I don't know about you, but I am really excited to see what's to come. Stay tuned for more details!

GAP is really slow. even the smaller companies already thought of this. Hell Junya watanabe already done the rearranging garments in different ways thing. I will not shop at GAP anymore except for the boxer briefs and maybe flip flops.

I like the idea of a customized white shirt; I hope we get some of these in Canada & they aren't too expensive.
