Run From Sun
Dermatologists agree that excessive exposure to sun contributes to premature aging and skin cancer. Wear sunscreen daily and avoid prolonged exposure between 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. when the UV rays are strongest.

Restoring moisture is one of the best ways to combat wrinkles and keep skin looking smooth, even, and full. There are many great noncomedogenic, oil-free moisturizers on the market that give great moisture and won’t block your pores. Many also come in varieties offering SPF that give you daily sun protection without too many layers of product on your skin.

Age spots and sun damage may need some rigorous treatment. Start with bleaching agents such as hydroquinone that work by interfering with the enzyme that helps produce melanin, the brown pigment that shows up as spots. Various forms of hydroquinone are available at low doses in stores and strong doses by prescription. Talk to your dermatologist about what is right for you.

Laugh lines and crow's feet are caused by repetitive laughing and squinting over time. These are often referred to as "character lines" and can be fought off by using alpha hydroxy acid (or AHA) masks and at-home peels. Deeper lines may require doctor-administered fillers such as Restylane.
