Get a Summer Glow Without Looking Greasy

Skin care routine for summer long glow!

Summer brings the excitement of warmer days and sunnier times. For all my fellow oily skinned ladies out there, we know that the heat isn't always pretty. I have put together a full skin care routine that beats the heat and gives me a gorgeous glow without the oily sheen. This regimen really helps to cut down on the extra shine that comes with heat and helps to keep my skin hydrated, happy, and glowing from the inside out! I tend to do the full routine at night before bed, when I know there's no hurry, and it's actually pretty relaxing. I hope you all enjoy and gain some inspiration from my nightly routine.

First, I make sure to take off my makeup as soon as possible. For that, I first tackle my eyes. Because I have allergies, I use waterproof mascara most days. This means I need a really good eye-makeup remover, and my Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover by Mary Kay ($15) really does the trick! I add some to my makeup wipes, and it takes all my eye makeup off with ease, without tugging, and does not leave a greasy residue.

For my face, I first apply Pond's Cold Cream Cleanser ($4) all over my face and wipe everything off with a baby wipe. Using the cold cream ensures that I get all of the makeup off with a baby wipe, and this helps me save on makeup wipes, which are more expensive.

I would definitely say that my skin secret is exfoliation. I use my Clarisonic Mia 2 ($150) to slough off dead skin and deep clean for radiant skin that glows like new each morning.
Twice a week, or whenever I catch a breakout, I follow this with my Purifying Mud Mask by Ahava ($30).

After pat-drying my face, I use my ring fingers to apply my Ahava Extreme Firming Eye Cream ($56). I use my ring fingers in tapping motions for a lighter touch in the delicate eye area. I find that using an eye cream is great, especially for someone who wears and removes eye makeup every day.

Last but not least, I apply my Ahava Dead Sea Osmoter ($60) all over my face. It comes with a great pump for control, and this is helpful because a little goes a long way. This product, paired with exfoliation, has made such a huge difference in the luminosity of my skin!

The Mia is my second Clarisonic face skincare brush. I purchased it for travel since it is smaller than my other full size. I love this product and purchased the smaller one because I can't be without it. I highly recommend them. It cleans without rubbing or pulling the skin like a washcloth and does a much more thorough job with less cleanser. Your skin will look and feel better and it's easy and convenient to use.
