We've long held a conspiracy theory about Gwen Stefani, and it's that she's aging in reverse. Despite the fact that she is 46 years old, she doesn't look a day over 30. Her latest makeup-free selfie [1] is just more evidence that the singer is the Benjamin Button of beauty.
Gwen took a quick snap of herself before heading to bed and posted it to Instagram sans caption. We've learned a few things from this shot: her iconic red lipstick [2] and eyeliner aren't semipermanent, her platinum strands [3] look really hot when tousled, and we need to discover what her evening regimen is ASAP. Though we may have grown up emulating her makeup style, we're now yearning to copy every step of her skin care routine [4]!
As it happens, there was a sweet reason behind the selfie, and it wasn't to show off her incredible complexion. Gwen told People [5] that the photo was originally intended for her boyfriend, fellow musician Blake Shelton [6].
"I just got in bed and I was like, 'Maybe I'll send a picture to Blake,'" she explained. "I probably took about 10 and that one looked cute and I was like 'I'll just post it.'"
