Junior suites at the hacienda were built with the area's Mayan culture in mind. This one was built directly across from where a Mayan-style house once stood. (The stones are still visible.) The hanging bed is a subtle nod to the tradition of sleeping in hammocks, and the thatched-palm palapa roof is still used in buildings today. Bougainvillea petals and light netting create a romantic space.
