When a new beauty trend pops up, I frequently hear concerns from my friends that they "could never pull that off." They're surprisingly heavy, which I think allowed them to stay in my hair longer. This was one of the simplest ways I found to glam-up an otherwise simple beauty look and outfit.

Probably the most simple way to wear the hair accessories trend is with an elevated scrunchie. I used this light pink velvet one from Scunci [6] ($12 for a pack) to elevate my look instead of just using a regular elastic.

Wednesday
Some of the more unique hair accessories I tried are these Sincerely Jules by Scunci Metal Hair Jewelry Rings [8] ($4). They're easy to use and I got tons of compliments on them. Simply bend them open with your fingers, hook them into your braid, and squeeze them closed. They elevate your braid from "it's 90 degrees out and I don't know why I even have hair" to a purposeful and stylish hairstyle.

Thursday
I was so excited to wear the golden Missoma Claw Hair Clip [10] ($33), which feels like a piece of fine jewelry, in my hair. You can wear them parallel on one side of your head like I did, in a ponytail, or one either side of your head at the temples.

Friday
I truly haven't worn a barrette like this one since elementary school. I used to hate them because my hair would get caught in them, and they'd droop throughout the day. Luckily, the Baublebar Jane Pearl Hair Clip [12] ($24) does none of that. The pretty pearl design makes me look more put-together and is an easy way to participate in the pearl-accessories trend [13].
I do not claim to be a hair styling expert, but I found that incorporating these little accessories into my routine made me feel and look more polished and were super easy to use. If you really love one, I'd recommend springing for a little bit more expensive option, those of which seemed to stay in my hair longer.
