Hair Gel For Babies

Hair Gel: It's Now For Babies, Too

It makes sense for certain beauty products to be made for babies. Gentle baby shampoos, fragrance-free lotions, and paraben-free soaps all seem like reasons to infantilize grownup products. But Le Baby Hair Gel is pushing the limits. Free of parabens, fragrance, and sulfates, the $9.95 formula was developed for babies, toddlers, and anybody else who has sensitive skin.

Founder Tami Dimmerman came up with the concept while attempting to find a gel to tame her daughter's flyaways. Le Baby promises to "thicken baby-fine hair," among other things. But is a hair gel for babies even necessary? I've never looked into a designer stroller and thought, "Cute kid. If only he had a fauxhawk." Would you use this on a child, or do you prefer to let little ones' hair run wild?

I have always said that when I have a baby boy, I am definitely going to put his hair in a mohawk at some point when he is still a baby.

I think this photo is so cute, but I would try and teach my kids to take care of their hair and skin from birth (My mother, sister and I have trouble with our hair and skin because we were sloppy in our teens, and are just getting a strict regime in place now) so I wouldn't pile on the gel for a while. I'd just let it naturally grow, and if the kid wants a fauxhawk, who am I to say no?

Baby hair is so cute, I wouldn't want to damage it with products. Soon we'll be applying powder, bronzer and mascara on them before dropping them off at day-care.

having the traditional ethnic head of curls, my nephews have all needed some type of styling product in the hair to keep the pattern smooth and in check.

My nephew has some Johnson & Johnson baby hair gel or something. It's really kinda cute. Luckily my siblings and I didn't have hair style problems, but it's nice that there's now a product that helps when you need to get something to look right in a baby's hair.
