When it comes to nail art, there is no trend too bold, especially for artists at the South Korean salon Unistella [1]. The same trendsetting artists who brought us the stunning wire nails [2] are back with something just as glamorous: high-heel nails. No, these don't have red-bottom spikes shooting off the nail, but we promise, they are equally as chic.
The concept behind high-heeled nails is actually simple, and there are so many ways that you can up the ante. They are made with a thick stripe in the center of the nail, usually with negative space on each side. Alternatively, you can create a block of negative space surrounded by color. The wide center stripe is supposed to replicate the look of a heel.
The artists at Unistella have even incorporated the wire nail trend into some of their high-heel designs by placing a small piece of wire under the "heel," seen above. You can try this on all of your nails or even just on a few nails to keep things unique.
