How-To: A Pretty And Chic Stacked Ponytail

This two-part ponytail (also known as a stacked ponytail) will double your beauty pleasure! Not only is it a fantastic way to keep your hair off of your face and neck, it's also unconventional. In this photo, Jennifer Aniston is sporting a sort of well-hidden stacked ponytail.

You can choose to hide the lower ponytail underneath the top one like she has, or if your hair is really straight, you can make the look more obvious by separating the two tails further apart. Either way, when your hair isn't cooperating and the standard simple ponytail won't do, this is a simple way to jazz up a basic ponytail. For everything you need to know about how to create this look at home,

  • STEP 1: While your hair is still wet, apply a styling product for hold.
  • STEP 2: Blow-dry your hair straight, then separate it into two sections: top and bottom.
  • STEP 3: Brush the top section back and pull it into a ponytail. Secure it with a thin hair elastic.
  • STEP 4: Repeat step 3 for the bottom ponytail. When all of your hair is secured, mist your head with a medium-hold hairspray.
