For the New York premiere of her new flick Hanna, Saoirse Ronan wore a perfectly pretty palette of subtle smoky eyes, a neutral lip color, and a pop of color on her cheeks. "I wanted her to have a sophistication about her, but be completely age appropriate," said makeup artist Georgie Eisdell, who has also worked with stars like Christina Hendricks and Carey Mulligan. So to learn how to re-create Saoirse's makeup look with tips straight from Eisdell, just keep reading.
To give Saoirse's skin a natural-looking glow, Eisdell started by applying Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in shade number three, using Yves Saint Laurent's Touche Éclat in number two under the eyes to brighten and give a polished feel. She then applied La Mer The Powder very lightly onto her skin to reduce shine. And for a touch of color, Chanel's powder blush in Mocha was swiped over the cheeks.
For a smoky look, Eisdell used the base shadow of Dior's Mystic Smokys palette to even out the lids with the deep purple shade used as a liner. To give the eyes even more definition and color, she layered YSL's Faux Cils Mascara Fascinating Violet over the line's High Intensity black shade.
Lips and Finishing Touches:
For a natural finish, Eisdell applied Dior Addict Ultra Lip Gloss in 227, a chiffon beige, to Saoirse's lips. To add a bit of sparkle, she dabbed on Nars Blush Duo in Hungry Heart on the cheeks and as a soft wash over her eyelids.
