For a vintage-meets-modern bridal hair and makeup look, direct your attention to Jenny Packham's Fall 2014 Bridal Fashion Week collection. Inspired by the Belle Époque (French for beautiful era) of the early 20th century, makeup artist Talia Shobrook for Laura Mercier created a romantic, dreamy palette. Models' cheeks were flushed with three shades to achieve the perfect glow: Second Skin Cheek Colour ($25 each) in Barely Pink and Rose Petal, followed by Peach Whisper on the apples of the cheeks. Lips were done in mauve and beige tones using Crème Smooth Lip Colour ($26 each) in Pink Blush and Peche.
For the hair, Tresemmé stylist Jeanie Syfu created a mystical, ethereal updo full of voluminous curls. After applying 24 Hour Body Foaming Mousse ($6), models' strands were blown dry using a Mason Pearson brush. Hair was then spritzed with Platinum Strength Heat Protection Spray ($6) and curled using a smaller iron near the neck, a medium barrel from the ears to the crown, and a one-inch barrel on top. Each curl was set with pincurl clips. When the hair was cool, Syfu removed the pins and teased models' strands into texturized faux bobs. A few spritzes of finishing spray, along with sparkly hair accessories (on some models) from Packham's line, completed the fanciful style.
