Along with her impressive acting, film producing, and philanthropic résumé, Jessica Chastain is also known for her long, Veronica Lake-esque red hair. That is, until today, when the actress announced via Instagram [3] that she cut it all off. The result is a breathtaking layered bob that we predict will serve as major hair inspiration for the rest of the Summer — so hairstylists, prepare yourself for many similar requests.
The style came courtesy of hairstylist Renato Campora [4], who has also worked with the likes of Mila Kunis, Jessica Alba, and Selena Gomez. (Casual.) Chastain gave the post a simple caption, writing, "Summer cut," and she paired her look with monochromatic rose eye shadow, blush, and lipstick.
The end result is a breezy, choppy style that is as get-up-and-go [5] as it gets. Sure, maybe you'll miss her Old-Hollywood-glam aesthetic, but sometimes seasonal change is good — and we're happy to see that Chastain is at least keeping her iconic ginger color.
