Whenever we want to look really sexy, we google images of the Kardashian and Jenner sisters. The famous, beauty-loving family (and their glam squads) are geniuses at achieving glowing skin, mesmerizing eye makeup, and shiny, textured hair.

To help with the latter, we tapped one of the girls' go-to hairstylists Jen Atkin (who is a brand-owner and influencer in her own right!). Read on as she breaks down how you can achieve a similarly glossy, high-volume look, just in time for holiday parties and New Year's Eve.

Restore Moisture

Restore Moisture

If you want to make like a Kardashian this holiday, you need to start with a little moisture. "You’ll want to use a deep-conditioning treatment (such as the Kardashian Beauty Black Seed Dry Oil $33-40), so hair appears strong, thick and smooth for your big event!," says Atkin. Just apply the treatment to towel-dried hair. You can leave in for five to 30 minutes, depending on how much TLC your hair needs.

Cleanse

Now that your strands have been primed, you'll want to cleanse to make sure they're fresh the morning of your big debut. "I love Ouai Volume Shampoo ($28) and Conditioner ($26) because the formulas are body building. They replenish moisture and lift strands, giving hair that big, bombshell look," says Atkin.

Pump Up the Volume

If you really want to aim high, Atkin suggests using a styling mist to achieve more volume and ensure your style lasts the night through. "I love the Christophe Robin Volumizing Mist ($39). It's made up of 96 percent rosewater and is alcohol free to help protect color and provide body and volume without drying out the hair. Unlike many other styling products on the market, it also delivers natural hold so hair isn’t sticky or crunchy," she says.

Add Some Heat

Once hair is clean and set, you're ready to blow dry. "I like to use a Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer ($400) (with diffuser), along with a large, round brush, to make hair as smooth as possible. In addition to leaving you with a frizz-free finish, the Dyson's air temperature is measured 20 times every second, keeping the temperature under control which creates ultrafast drying!," says Atkin.

Clip On

This is where the reinforcements come in. "If you have fine hair and need some fullness, I’d suggest applying clip-in hair extensions (such as those from Beauty Works). Remember: hair photographs smaller than it is, so the bigger, the better!," she explains.

Break Out the Ceramic

Once hair is dry and high, it's time to style. "To get that smooth, silky look the Kardashians are so well known for, try the Kardashian Beauty 3-in-1 Iron ($80). It's great because it can create multiple hairstyles with one tool. Its one-inch flat and rounded ceramic plates are actually infused with the nourishing Black Seed Oil, which helps add even more shine!," Atkin notes.

Set and Jet

Last, but certainly not least, you'll want to seal in your style. "Finish off your look with a medium-hold hair spray to lock each hair into place. I like the Ouai Medium Hair Spray ($26) because it's never tacky or sticky and will create the perfect long-lasting hairstyle," says Atkin.
