How do you get a sunkissed effect without looking too monotone? Take a cue from Kim Bower, the makeup artist behind Kerry Washington's gorgeously sunkissed look at the 2010 Tony Awards. Kim made Kerry's complexion glow by using warm, shimmery gold tones with lavender and plum eye makeup. Want to try the palette out for yourself? Get tips straight from Kim when you read more.
Kim used Armani Luminous Silk Foundation ($59) in shade #9 to give Kerry that sheer glow.
Kim then swept on NARS Blush in Deep Throat ($26), a peach with shimmer, and NARS Bronzing Powder in Laguna ($32), a brown with golden shimmer. She then created contour on Kerry's cheeks with Kevyn Aucoin The Sculpting Powder ($10.50). To highlight Kerry's cheekbones, Kim dabbed on Armani Fluid Sheer in Golden Sand ($59).
Kim applied MAC Fluidline Gel Liner in Blacktrack ($15) inside Kerry's eyes, followed by a light shade of lavender in the lids, like the Pale Lavender color in Dior's 5-Color Eye Shadow in Petal Shine ($58). To contour the lids, she swept on MAC Eye Shadow in Saddle ($14.50), along with a plum shadow, like the Soft Plum shade in Dior's 5-Color Eye Shadow in Stylish Move ($58). She then highlighted her brows with MAC Bronzing Powder ($22) and swept Too Faced Black Lash Injection Mascara in Pitch Black ($19.50) on the lashes.
To finish the off the look, Kim applied MAC Dazzleglass in Bare Necessity ($18), an apricot with red and gold pearl.
