We found that it lathered really well, and our skin felt clean after use without feeling stripped of moisture. "The cleanser is using a good surfactant, and it uses kiwi oil and sodium hyaluronate to keep skin feeling moisturized," said Wilson.

If you are wearing waterproof makeup, you might want to want to use an oil-based remover or a micellar makeup wipe before washing your face with this cleanser, as it did leave behind some of waterproof mascara and pieces of waterproof eyeliner.

Kylie Skin Vanilla Milk Toner ($22) dispenses as a milky lotion that smells sweet like coconuts. It contains plant-derived oils and sodium hyaluronate to hydrate skin. Wilson pointed out its use of squalane: "It's an ingredient that is actually a component of the liquid in our skin," she said, explaining its use is great for restoring moisture.

After using it the first time, our skin felt smooth with a slight shine, but any dry areas still felt tight until we applied moisturizer — despite its use of moisturizing ingredients. With more consistent use, we noticed the tightness less and less.

Bhanusali added, "I'm personally not a fan of toners — they can be too drying — but this one counters [dryness] with calming jojoba oil and hyaluronic acid and uses vitamin E and avocado."

Kylie Skin Vitamin C Serum ($28) is a lightweight serum that uses vitamin C to brighten and tone skin. On the days that we used the serum, it did exactly that (though, it was hard to gauge if the effects were long-term). The liquid quickly absorbed onto skin.

Bhanusali called out its use of ferulic acid. "It's an underutilized antioxidant," which is known to fend off free-radical damage, he said.

Kylie Skin Face Moisturizer ($24) is the moisturizer for anyone who hates using moisturizer. The pink pump at the tip of its tube made it easy to dispense the exact amount of cream we needed to cover the face and neck. It quickly absorbed onto skin, leaving it feeling silky soft without any residue, weight, or shine. It creates a great canvas for makeup application, but for when our skin feels extra dry, we would opt for a more emollient formula.

Kylie Skin Eye Cream ($20) is a buttery cream that left us with a slight tingle as it absorbed. We didn't notice much difference when it came to the pigmentation of our dark circles, but we did however see a slight decrease in puffiness after use.

"Using citric acid around the eyes worries me," said Bhanusali after reviewing its ingredients. "I'm not a big fan unless it is used in very low amounts." He added that he liked the eye cream's use of vitamin E and caffeine, which are both skin conditioning agents.

Overall, Wilson says the formulas are stable and safe for use. "It reminded me of really old-school formulations," she said, explaining that Kylie Skin's ingredients aren't exactly innovative but, instead, take it back to basics when it comes to skin care that works.
