Great blog on Celebs without is can even make someone with makeup look horrible if it's not right. If it is right, you can look flawless. Not to mention they digitally enhanced the photos I'm sure, erasing lines, dark circles, etc. Once again the media makes a lot of women feel inadequate. Real women are not fake and fake (to me) is not beautiful! I really like when celebs actually point out their flaws and tell us that magic is being done to their pictures before they are published(flawless pics sell, not crappy ones-unless it's star mag). Tyra Banks is one of those celebs and I appreciate her honesty!

Yeah, I'd appear in a national magazine without makeup too if I could have photoshop instead!

that was a wonderful article by fakinggoodbreeding!! i'm happy to have found a great blog to read. one thing that has always bothered me about the damn dove "natural beauty" commercials and advertisements in magazines is that the women ARE just as touched up as any other commercial and advertisement. plus, they're still selling cellulite cream, almost all women have cellulite. "go natural but get rid of your cellulite?" even very thin like jessica alba and paris hilton have it. it's genetic and nothing wrong with it. i was a makeup artist for a few years too, nobody is born 100% perfect. it's sometimes those little imperfections that make us prettier though, i think. adds character and gives charm. :)

Is that Jessica Biel on the right? I don't think she looks good, in fact, I don't know what the fuss is about her.

This is exactly what I commented about the "so called no make up" thing when it first appeared.

Great post by Faking Good Breeding! I think most of us felt that way. It's interesting that People seemed to think we would just lap that up and be awed. I think it's at least a good sign that the majority of us are savvier readers/consumers than some editors would like to believe...

I love Faking Good Breeding's rant, it articulately states what I think many of us 'normal' people thought when seeing those heavily photoshopped pictures.

These are all really cool - I loved seeing the stars without makeup.

I think Eva looks terrible. It sort of made me sad that half the girls in that article were photographed in b&w. Anyone would look just as pretty without makeup if they were photographed in b&w! I have something similar to the lip click & I just adore my retractable lip brush.

I agree with the Faking Good Breeding article, even though the celebs aren't wearing makeup they still have that lighting going on and great lighting can make anyone look gorgeous.

You know they are wearing like 10 pounds of makeup just to look like they are not wearing makeup. They made a really good comparison of Eva Longoria of how she really looks to her "no makeup" look
