A recent makeup tutorial seems like the perfect solution for the beauty aficionado who wants to look both on fleek and downright freaky. On YouTube, Desi Perkins [1] shared her creepy creation that features exposed skull makeup on one side of the face and a disturbing melting effect on the other.
In the video, Desi starts with what she refers to as the "glam side" of the face by filling in her brows, applying dramatic eye makeup including shadow and winged liner, and topping off the look with foundation. To define where she wanted the melting face to end and the skull makeup to begin, Desi traced an outline with a white pencil. She then used the gray, white, and black shades in her Mehron 30 Color Palette [2] ($84) to create the skull makeup.
In the final — and most exciting — part of the tutorial, Desi applies Mehron 3D Gel [3] ($13) along the edges of the face makeup to make it seem like the skin is melting, visible in a close-up Desi shared on Instagram.
