This Trend Will Make You Love Your Man's Gray Hair Even More
There was a brief moment back in 2010 when a woman choosing to go gray was seen as an edgy fashion statement; for reference, see Kate Moss and her short dalliance with gray highlights.
Well, opting to go gray is back as a beauty trend, but this time . . . it's for the guys. The New York Times recently published a story about men opting to dye, citing pop star Zayn Malik and Olympic freestyle skier Gus Kenworthy as two of the leaders of the trend.
Silver foxes like George Clooney and Anderson Cooper have long been lauded for embracing their natural color. The stereotype of an older, gray-haired man comes along with a certain stateliness or wisdom. It's not quite the same for the girls, which is why hair dye is a big, big business in the women's beauty industry.
But going gray — by nature or by dye — is anyone's choice to try out or to wear long-term. Do you think the trend of young men dyeing their hair gray is here to stay?
