These Cool Makeup Drawings Are Actually Made With Makeup
Remember Richard Scarry books, where, thanks to his intricate illustrations and jump-right-off-the-page action, you could just stare at his colorful drawings for hours? Artist Julia Minamata's work might evoke a similar reaction. "I love makeup," Minamata explains on her personal blog, adding, "I don't own a lot or even use very much, but seeing new color palettes, formulations, textures, products, and ad campaigns, really appeals to my artsy-fartsy sensibilities."
That's why Minamata, who holds an advanced degree in illustration, and has worked with publications such as The New Yorker and Business Week, recently became inspired to illustrate her entire makeup collection — and more.
