Learn This Fresh-Faced Bridal Beauty Look

The following post was written by Lara Ramos, who blogs for The Glossarie and is part of POPSUGAR Select Beauty. The Glossarie is an upbeat beauty blog that features reviews and recommendations on the latest must haves.

I got married in November 2010, and the look created by my makeup artist, Victoria Stiles, is one that I return to again and again! It was fresh-faced and pretty, exactly how I wanted to look on my big day. Here are the steps and products to do it yourself.

Start with clean, moisturized skin [I love Mario Badescu's Orange Cleansing Soap ($12) and Simple's Protecting Light Moisturizer ($13)] and smooth on a makeup primer that will help your look stay on all day. Smashbox's Photo Finish Color Correcting version ($15-$38) helps me to pare down my pink undertones and gives me a neutral canvas. For foundation, there is nothing better than Make Up For Ever's HD Foundation ($42). The finish is flawless, but you look like you are wearing next to nothing. I like to apply it with Urban Decay's Good Karma Optical Blurring Brush ($25). To conceal any spots or hyperpigmentation, follow up with Urban Decay's 24/7 Concealer Pencil ($15). It goes on very smooth, and it erases all spots. Learn the rest of the look now.

On the eyes, you need an easy look that will be subtle, but gorgeous. I like to prime my lids with MAC's Pot in Painterly ($19) so that shadow doesn't crease. Then I use a fluffy shadow brush to dust a simple rose gold shadow [MAC's All That Glitters ($15)] all over the lid. To add definition, the best trick is to tightline your waterline. The easiest way to do it is with a small fan brush dipped in a creamy black liner. You can stamp the color on to your waterline, and the result is stunning! To finish off, you need a few swipes of blacker-than-black mascara. I love MAC's Plush Lash ($16) for a full set of Disney-princess lashes.

To frame the face, I use a spoolie brush to comb through my brows and then darken them using Clinique's Instant Lift For Brows ($17). The included highlighter defines the arches and lightens up the whole face. So pretty! To warm up the complexion, dust a light, matte bronzer all over. I'm partial to MAC's Harmony Blush($21) and a big, fluffy brush.

On lips, I find that the triple threat of a coordinating liner, lipstick, and gloss work best. That way, as the night wears on (and on!), you can touch up easily using only the gloss or layer all three together for more impact. My personal lip wardrobe is Nars Tonga Liner ($22), Catfight Lipstick ($26), and Baby Doll Lip Lacquer ($25). It's a natural finish that makes me feel like a million bucks!
