Olay Daily Purifying Body Wash Review

Doing Drugstore: Olay Daily Purifying Body Wash

I've been dropping way too much money on bar soap and fancy scrubs lately. When I noticed that my skin wasn't feeling nearly as good as it smelled, I picked up Olay Daily Purifying Body Wash, ($8.19). The formula has sea salt and microbeads to exfoliate (per the instructions, use with a puff). I didn't expect to like this as much as I did, but it was refreshing to use something that came in an easily gripped bottle. The scent was very marine, and pleasantly unisex (at least to my nose). And afterward, my skin felt super smooth, even around my elbows and knees. I might revert back to my stogy old quadruple milled soap sometimes, but will definitely keep this in the shower for when my skin is feeling dull. And for when I pretend I'm going back to the gym.

I've tried this and I didn't like it at all...I don't even think that I finished the bottle.

you should try the SHEA BUTTER one. I think it's the best one in the line by Olay. It is so good that you will find yourself not wanting to get out of the shower and you will keep using over and over again.

jpatel036 - i think i heard that it's cheaper to use it as filler & it stays "suspended" in the soap instead of settling which i think sand can sometimes do. Altho I agree with you 100%, hate that companies do this.

I used this and I have to say I was unimpressed. It didn't exfoliate more than a regular body wash would. They're just dull beads in the product so it's really the puff that does the job. Save your money, guys.

Meerkat, I saw that article too, which kept me away from buying it, even though I was totally tempted to. Not sure why they need to include plastic beads to exfoliate when sugar, salt, even the seed, scrubs do the job and can decompose.

DO NOT BUY THIS!!! The "microbeads" are made of plastic and pollute our oceans - fish eat them and die b/c they are small and look like food. The ingredient is called either polypropelene or propelene (sp?). It is found in a lot of oil of olay products, as well as bath & body works products. Please don't kill Nemo!

I just started using this!!! Its awesome, especially if you get backne like I do. I usually do a bit of extra scrubbing with a back brush for that and my constantly dry skin. I swear my skin has never been softer nor more consistent in tone. I recommend this one!
