Oscars Red Carpet Beauty: Barely There Makeup

These ladies know how to let their talent and inner beauty speak volumes. Instead of hiding behind a face full of overdone makeup, they chose to play up one feature for a polished and understated look. I think this is a lovely and refreshing change on the red carpet.

Do you prefer a more glamorous and dramatic face, or do you like this almost au natural look that confident stars such as:Jada Pinkett Smith, Cameron Diaz, Emily Blunt, Kirsten Dunst, Celine Dion and Jessica Biel opted for?

I think if you have a face like alexis bledels or natalie portmans you can go with very little makeup. but if you look like sarah jessica parker, you should use more makeup, especcially around the eyes to make your face look a little smaller. how the heck do you spell especcially?

I agree Glam- everything about Kirsten is wrong- but everyone else looks gorgeous... I think it does depend on just what look you're going for but these ladies pulled off natural beauty (even though I'm sure they're wearing more makeup than we know) really well. ~~"There is no pleasure in having nothing to do; the fun is in having lots to do and not doing it."~~

It depends on what you're wearing and does look good when done right. The one pictured above that doesn't look good IMO is Kirsten Dunst.
