Pack Your Stuff Without Checking Your Bags

I'm visiting New York right now, and since I hate checking bags, I didn't pack my beloved Jan Marini glycolic wash because the container is too large for the carry-on. And wouldn't you know it? A tiny pimple is developing. Failure!

Next time I fly the friendly skies, I'm going to be ready with Flight 001's Carry-On Bottle Set ($16). The set includes seven three-ounces-or-less containers inside a quart-sized plastic pouch — so instead of worrying about size issues, I can just decant my cleanser and other must-haves, then be on my way. So easy.

Of course, you can assemble a similar kit on your own to save a few bucks; stores such as Target sell plastic bottles for less than a dollar each. But if convenience is what you crave, Flight 001's version does the work for you.

The Target by me only sells 4 oz travel containers!! What's the point of those anymore!??! Someone needs to catch up... I was able to find some 3 oz containers at Walgreens though for 99cents each!

Unfortunately some sick TSA agents are now confiscating anything in an unmarked jar! (Power-crazed? Ignorant? Or both?) Fortunately the only thing I bring in-flight is moisturizer and that's in a small enough jar. Really, its made travel quite ridiculous...

I got a smaller kit - three bottles - from Boots a while ago, but as I have more than three face products and I travel with relative frequency, this kit looks amazing!

Ooh, I like this! I'm a big collector of little travel bottles for airplanes since I can't ever leave my favorites behind -- mini, I've found a couple of little round jars that I scoop moisturizers into. Some of my current ones came from Rite Aid and some from a Japanese store called Daiso. (I know, random.)

I know at Macy and online at Philosophy they have little tubes with HIAJ for travel --sample sizes. I buy the small bottles for travel at Walgreens and I fill those suckers up, some bottles have the same products. I then buy the Zip lock travel bags and put all of my stuff in there and go. I am doing more over night trips and day trips and a girl needs her beauty stuff.

my problem is finding a way to bring my hope in a jar with me! bottles are all well and good for the shampoo and cleanser, and you can usually find trial sizes that will work, but i must have my hope in a jar, and can't figure out how to bring it!
