The Ribbon Eyeliner Trend Is About to Make Your Cat Eye 100!

Your cat-eye selfie is about to get a lot more creative thanks to 2016's hottest Instagram makeup trend right now: ribbon eyeliner. The look, which features a snake-like ribbon wrapped around an exaggerated winged liner, is also being dubbed spiral eyeliner or "spiralliner."

Women of all complexions are trying it with varieties of colors from rainbow to cobalt blue and even sunset red. Some are extending it up to their brows, while others are adding it to the inner corners. You can even try it with a double-winged cat eye for a truly unique style.

We're also seeing the ribbon liner look atop the basic "Instagram eye": bold, filled-in brows with a smoky contoured eye and matte skin. Add on a Kylie Jenner overlined lip if you're a true trendsetter.
