Ryan Lochte [6] understands the importance of switching up your style to prepare for a big event. The Olympic medalist is headed to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and in honor of competing in the 2016 Olympic Games, Ryan decided to completely transform his handsome brown locks into a sleek hue of silver.

He took to his Twitter account to cryptically announce that a change was coming. Shortly afterward, he cheerfully grinned in a classic salon selfie while his hair color processed. Ryan then debuted his final silver-fox look in a striking photo fittingly captioned "Rio Ready."

Naturally, Twitter had plenty of feelings about the Olympian's new style. Some users joked that Ryan now bears a striking resemblance to Anderson Cooper. Others argued that he should've tinted his mane gold (in anticipation of winning some gleaming medals).
