From big and blond to bobbed and brown, Sarah Jessica Parker's hair has changed quite a bit over the course of her career. (She even had red hair at one point in the early '90s.) Recently, we caught up with the star, where she chatted about her new fragrance and her beauty must haves. She talked about her famous hair, too. See what she had to say about caring for her locks, along with what her day-to-day makeup routine consists of, when you read more.
On her hair:
I'm lucky enough to get to work with Serge Normant, and he and I have the mutual objective of trying to keep my hair as healthy as possible — which is hard given my particular line of work, when they want to just beat it up every day and put heat on it and blow-dry it. And I like to try color and things like that, so it's hard to do. I am not complaining because it's part of what I've chosen to do that I love. I try to take care of it and try not to do anything to it when I'm not working. I try not to color it if I don't have to. . . . I have a lot of brothers and sisters, and my three sisters — none of them are actors — and they have the healthiest, most beautiful hair. [It's] never been touched, dyed, [or] tortured the way I torture mine. And their ponytails are as thick as a horse's.
On her at-home makeup routine:
I am, I confess, very bad at makeup. I don’t wear any in my real life — in my personal life. There’s no time to do it and I’m not good at it. I can cover a zit, and I can put mascara on. I can put the eyeliner inside my eyeball but that’s basically it. Honestly.
