When I have a bad hair day, I slap on a headband and hope I don't run into any exes. When Selena Gomez has a bad hair day, she works on a Coach fashion shoot. In a video posted on the label's Instagram, the Pantene ambassador gives us a peek into what it was really like behind the scenes of her Americana-themed debut Coach campaign, shot by Steven Meisel in the back of a 1976 Plymouth Fury.

Redken Creative Director Guido Palau styled her slightly wet lob [1], while Pat McGrath made her a monochromatic masterpiece with a look anchored by her neutral Lust Matte Trance Lipstick in 1995. (You can get the same shade [2] sometime in July).

Ever the pro, Gomez allowed the stylists full control of her hair. In the BTS video, she sports bedhead pinned into a slight victory roll at the top. The mullet-esque coif is clearly a work in progress. As she bounces around, the "Bad Liar" singer giggles and jokes, "What is my hair?" Girl, I can answer that question for you: it's perfection. Just take a look at the end result.

Coach captioned the video, "Been there, said that," so the next time I come home for the day and that see my hair is completely deflated, at least I know that I'm not alone.
