Shu Uemura Volume Maker Review

What We're Sweet On: A Powder That Ups the Ante (and Your Hair)

Shu Uemura ups the ante — and your hair — yet again with its Volume Maker ($48), a texturizing powder that adds oomph and zaps oil. But what really makes this applicator special is the full bristle brush it's outfitted with. A few cranks of the bottom of the tube produces a delicate amount of white powder on the tips of the brush. Just swipe the powder where you need it and it turns invisible, allowing for total ease of use that amps up volume in an instant.

The inventive design gives you the flexibility to use it whenever your hair needs a boost — even if it's already styled in an updo. The tube is small enough to throw in your purse for midday touch-ups, and it meets TSA regulations, so you can pack it and refresh whenever you need to. Big things really do come in small packages.

Hmmm...think I'd need some convincing to buy Shu Uemura's Volume Maker. My bet's on Batiste Dry Shampoo which retails for about an 1/8 of the price and does an amazing job at volumizing your hair. But do you get it in the U.S.? I'm not sure... www.blondeinbahrain.com
