Snooki Talks About Fake Tans

Snooki Has Found a Better Way to Tan

Snooki from Jersey Shore is famous for her attitude, her hair, and her serious tan. Today she found a lot of joy in that last detail, enthusiastically tweeting, "My one love is SunLove! to look tan like me! Get Snookerized."

While I personally do not plan to be Snookerized any time soon, I do give her a big thumbs-up for changing her tune on tanning. Whereas she used to sing the praises of tanning beds, she's now pro-faux. Tanning beds can cause cancer, and the only safe tan is a fake one. If Snooki can step away from the UV light, anyone can. Glad to see her doing it.

To gummibear: I don't think anyone has a reason for this, haha. It's just dumb, this one girl that went to my highschool (before I graduated) would do that and make her eyes look like an alien because they were so big and awkward. So weird.. but I'm glad Snooki isn't tanning anymore!!

Hmm... I'll stick with "Get postmodernized and use L'Oreal Sublime Glow Gel" Glad to see her promoting a fake tan, though! I'm a big proponent of sunscreen. I'm a Celtic girl living in the desert, I have to be ;)

Sorry, I still can't get past the name Snookie, so getting snookerized is certainly out for me. (Seriously, it sounds like the name of Paris Hilton's next dog.)

Anybody who's spent a long time in a tanning bed will see a *lot* of photoaging by the time they're 30. Hopefully that's all they'll find, because obviously there are serious risks that go beyond vanity. I agree with ticamorena — beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but any shift to spray tanning is a good thing.

Get Snookerized! I almost fell off the chair from laughing! It's so catchy!

People won't ever all have the same viewpoint on what is or is not beautiful, but so long as we're doing it the healthy way, then its all good! I'm glad to see her promoting tanning lotions over sunbeds

I agree Allyta - it just may be too late for her and the "Jersey Shore" crew given how dark they have become from tanning beds for years unfortunately - one can only hope. I am glad that Snookie is posting something positive bc. so many ppl. are caught up on that show and never mind the new/unfortunate "Jerseylicious". Just afraid young ones will be mis-informed.

I will never understand why so many women do the "duckface" when posing for pictures. Does anyone care to explain this to me?
