Back of Study Proves That Bond Loves His Dark-Haired Ladies Are you a gun-toting, long- and dark-haired lady with a penchant for danger? Then James Bond will love you. I'm still getting over the fact that there was an actual Pussy Galore character in one of the flicks in the Bond franchise. I'm also getting over the fact that researchers from Cleveland State University took the time to delve deeper into the female characteristics preferred by everyone's favorite British spy. A recent study published in the journal Sex Roles proved that of the 195 women in Bond's first 20 films, 40 percent had black hair, 19 percent were brunettes, nine percent were redheads, and 27 percent were blondes. Their average age was 26, and not surprisingly, he was more likely to sleep with the slimmer, younger, and better-looking women of the bunch. Also, while 007 seemed to end up in sexual liaisons with the longer-haired women, the study concluded that their hair has actually gotten shorter over time. Looking to get a snapshot of the Bond's ideal lady and his chauvinistic ways? The researchers recommend checking out Lois Chiles as Dr. Holly Goodhead (groan) in Moonraker or Lana Wood as Plenty O'Toole (ugh) in Diamonds Are Forever. I went to four weddings last summer. Every bride was a blonde. This summer, I have another four and two of the brides are blondes; two are brunettes. LittleMzFit 8 years Oh, and guys do like blondes...but they married brunettes! hehe :P LittleMzFit 8 years His preferences as well as the ladies' length of hairstyle has more to do with current or future trends chosen by the producer or screenwriters than it does Bond's preferences. Let's remember this is fictional. :YAAR: I don't believe there was a study. AmandaG 8 years Fake blonds are giving real blonds a bad rep. As for the Bond girl names I think the are kind of funny. Sure they are sexist but it is Bond!! lilkimbo 8 years I think most people look their sexiest with their natural haircolor. (Or something close to it.) I don't find one haircolor sexier than the others. Marbegirl 8 years Goodhead, Plenty, Pussy Galore...hmmm there seems to be a theme here. Anyways one of my favorite Bond girls was Tiffany Case, she had short red curly hair, a technicolor bikini and badass lashes. My other favorites, Vesper Lynd, Strawberry Fields, and Wai Lin. leslievanhouten 8 years How could you forget Octopussy? Christmas Jones wasn't too bad of a name, but combine Denise RIchards playing a nuclear physicist and the line, post coitus, "I thought Christmas only comes once a year" and you've got a winner Francoisehardly 8 years What's with these names? Goodhead? Really? Amanda-La 8 years I agree. I tried to be blond to fit in and then went back dark and I instantly felt sexier and had more confidence. Dark hair rocks and is the sex. genesisrocks 8 years Agree with Jessie about brunettes. Jessiebanana 8 years Brunettes, at least to me, are sexier. Blond hair just reminds me of silliness and fakeness (excuse my made up words) and that's not sexy.
