Target Goes Eco Friendly

Beauty Byte: Target Prepares to Go Green

Oh, Target. You are my favorite cheap-chic stop for everything from bed linens to blenders. And as the popularity of natural beauty segues from fad to mainstream, Target is jumping on the bandwagon. As soon as March, you can expect to see a bevy of natural brands lining shelves.

Adding to my already deep and unconditional love of the chain, Target is taking the guesswork out of going green, and has preselected only products that are free of parabens, phthalates and sodium lauryl sulfates. What's more, nothing has been tested on animals. Some of the lines that we'll be seeing are already favorites of mine, such as Burt's Bees, Dr. Bronner's, Kiss My Face, and Alba, among many others.

The best part is that we can get our product fix without breaking the bank. Prices for the lines start at $2.99 and top out at $29.99. As if we needed one more reason to schedule a Target run in the near future!

Target, I love you even more! I already use Dr. Bronner's & Kiss My Face products, but I'm sure I will use them more now that I do not have to go out of my way to get them. Yay!

My Target has been selling Burt's Bees and Boots Organics make-up since right before Christmas. I am so excited that the lines are being expanded.

Dr. Bronners! I haven't been able to find this since my favourite piercing parlor went out of business. I can stop using tea tree oil cleanser to clean my piercings!

Dr. Bronner's is great! I've been searching everywhere this winter for a soap that doesn't dry out my skin and their liquid castile soap does the trick. I really may be the best soap I have ever used. So thank you Target, now I don't have to buy it online.

Dr. Bronner's is great, it's a multipurpose soap that you can use to wash anything from dishes to hair to skin. Its also great to take camping because it's 100% biodegradable! The original Peppermint scent is really fresh and invigorating, but they also have many more amazing fragrances like Eucalyptus, Almond, Lavender, Tea Tree, and even a mild, unscented Baby soap! All the fragrances are made from natural essential oils, and as an extra bonus, the whole line is USDA Certified 100% Organic! Can you tell I'm a fan?

Awesome. For my personal care, I use only green products. My skin and hair are sensitive, and really like natural ingredients. It's nice to know I can pick-up some of these products at Target, instead of health food stores. Convenient. Timberlake_box_lover: I use Dr. Brunner's Liquid Castile Soap. I use it from head to toe. I read somewhere that it's not a good idea to use it for hair. It may be too drying. However, I use a really good organic conditioner afterwards, and I have no problems with my hair. It's healthy, shining, and has no split ends. I wash my hair almost everyday. Well, that's my experience with Dr. Brunner's. Hope it helps.

Trader Joe's sells Dr. Bronner's. I've never bought it because I don't really know what it's for. People washing? Dish washing? Floors? I'll have to look it up.

They already have a good amount of natural product lines at's where I get all my Burt's Bees stuff. I'm excited they'll have Alba Botanicals there now! I LOVE that brand...the lotions and creamy body washes are to die for.
