Trend Alert: Raspberry Nails

Following the trend of raspberry lips from the fall runways, we are now seeing raspberry nails making a comeback! Just look at Lindsay Lohan sporting pink tips all over town. It looks like this is her signature color. If red nails are just a little too bold for you, now you can try a pretty pink polish and still be fashion-forward. Here are three great raspberry pinks to choose from.

OPI Classic Nail Lacquer in California Raspberry ($7.50) is a bright and fun deep pinky-punch hue that makes for a perfect transition from summer to fall. Just remember to keep nails short and square, since that's the shape of the moment!

For two more raspberry nail polishes,

Jessica Nail Polish in Raspberry-Colour 128 ($6.50) is a popular pedicure color among LA scenesters. This polish has a sheer pink creamy finish that goes on smooth and will stay chip-free for up to 10 days if you're careful!

Essie Nail Polish in Raspberry ($6.49) is a dazzling, purplish, pinky-red hue that looks great on your hands or your toes. (DearSugar tells me this is her favorite color these days!) Essie makes a fantastic chip-resistant formula that holds its color and shine well. I'm a huge Essie fan because it's so durable and affordable. Are you a fan, too?

Essie is the best nailpolish brand, period! I hardly wear anything else, everytime i get a mani/pedi i buy the color so I never have to wait to use it when i get to the salon...the color selection is amazing! if i digress away from essie, its usually only to lancome or chanel...

I loooooooove pinks and red on my toes too. I just tried a french on my feet for the rest of the summer and I love the way it looks and how long it lasts.

essie polish is fantastic! i'm not a summer girl, so i simply can't wait for cooler weather to start sportin' "wicked" again. until then, i've got "cabi-au-lait" on my fingers (it's a great pale pink on my skintone), and "bordeaux" on my toes.

I love the color! I usually have a french mani and strawberry margarita(opi) on my toes :). I rarely put color on my finger nails, and if I do, it's just the tips of my nails.

in Romania u really cannot find brands like Jessica or Essie, and OPI it may get a little too expensive.. i love the colour tho, so i mixed up a cotton candy colour nail polish with a cherry red... TOTALLY love it! suits well with my skin tone, and that way you can have a personalized shade, it's your choice of intensity, tone... kewl. :)

i LOVE Essie too! Sassette, Fishnet Stockings is great for a pedi! love it. right now i'm wearing Garnet on my toes. i love pedicures, not so much manis, so especially since it's summer...i've been more into wearing polish. i love wearing sandals and in Cali, we can wear them pretty much ALL year. i'm not following the trend, although i'm noticing it on the Sugar sites more and more. just like Bella, i love Essie because it's durable. has anyone tried the 'To Dry For' topcoat? it is AMAZING. it dries every coat of polish and leaves a beautiful shine and has a tough-as-nails sealant that you will NOT smudge your nails. the worst you can do is chip your polish off and it would take some real effort to do so. love love LOVE Essie!

"Oh wait, you asked me to comment on the hideous shade of pink polish that looks as if it fell from the regurgitated '80s rack at the dollar store? Yeah, that's quite grotesque as well!" Hahaha! I'm with you on this one... I wouldn't consider those colors 'raspberry' per se - they're more like fuschia, and also remind me of the 80s. I suppose it might look good with the right skin tone, but it doesn't work for everybody (including me). I would think raspberry is more like a deep red with a tinge of pink in it.... like a real raspberry is. :)
