When the world first got a glimpse of Tom Hardy's Venom [1] look, fans were both frightened and ecstatic. This Venom makeup look will stun and impress your friends this Halloween [2] and is surprisingly easy.
We teamed up with makeup artists Karla Tobie [3] and Nellie Hernandez [4] and Wet n Wild to show you how you can easily create a terrifying Venom costume using affordable makeup and an all-black ensemble. You'll be shocked at how simple it is to re-create the famous alien Symbiote on your own face. Just be careful not to let it take over.
Step 1: The Base
Start by building a white base on your face using the Fantasy Makers White Paint Pot [6] ($3) and by filling in your eyebrows with Ultimate Brow Retractable [7] ($3).
Step 2: Add Some Glam
Using a black MegaLiner Liquid Eyeliner [8] ($3), draw a small wing on one eye and pop on one of the Fantasy Makers False Eyelashes in Twilight [9] ($4) on the same eye. Add a generous amount of the MegaGlo Highlighting Powder in Caught in Your Web [10] ($5) to the high points of the white portion of your face to add dimension.
Step 3. Conceal Your Brow
Using eyelash glue or a glue stick, cover your eyebrow to create a smooth surface for the makeup.
Step 4: Outline and Fill In the Dark Side
Using a Fantasy Makers Multistick in Black [11] ($3), outline half your face in a bumpy line and create Venom's eye. Fill in with a large brush and the Black Paint Pot [12] ($3).
Step 5: Add the Parasite Lines
Using a small paintbrush and the Fantasy Makers Multistick in Black [13] ($3), add the tentacle parasite lines to the face.
Step 6: Fill in the Eye
Fill in the eye with the White Paint Pot [14] ($3) and smooth out the edges with the Multistick in White [15] ($3).
Step 7: Outline the Mouth
Using the red Multistick [16] ($3), draw a big mouth across your cheek from the top of your ear to the mid point of your lips.
Step 8: Gums
Draw on some scary, web-like gums with the Multistick.
Step 9: Add Fangs
Using a small pointed brush, add long, sharp fangs to the mouth.
Step 10: Add some decay
Use the Fantasy Makers Paint Palette in Bright [17] ($6) to add some yellow to the root of the teeth with a brush.
Step 11: Add the Other Lash
Add the other Fantasy Makers False Eyelash in Twilight [18] ($4) to the black side of your face.
