Soon the Vidal Sassoon name will be gracing your drugstore beauty aisle . . . again. Starting in January, Procter & Gamble will release the Vidal Sassoon Pro Series collection, a complete range of products from shampoo to at-home permanent color ($2-$9). The line bears the name of world-renowned hairstylist Vidal Sassoon, who passed away earlier this year.
But if something about this line seems familiar, it's because Vidal Sassoon products have been in existence since the '70s. This launch is actually a revival of the brand (not to be confused with Sassoon Salon products) that was discontinued by P&G in 2003 under some dispute. The new and improved line is designed to make salon-inspired treatments easy for every woman to achieve. As Vidal once said in his campaign for the original brand, "If you don't look good, we don't look good."
Sound good? Get your hands on a special presale starting tomorrow, Dec. 1, when the brand will offer up a multipiece color collection set ($13), including a gift with purchase.
