Instagram has pretty much single-handedly started and killed certain eyebrow trends by way of overexposure. Now, one feather-inspired trend seems to be overshadowing the bold distinctive eyebrows [1] that previously ruled the social media platform. The best part? It started out as a joke.
In early April, makeup artist Stella Sironen announced she would be starting a new eyebrow shape [2] that resembles a literal bird feather. A few days later, however, she clarified that she was joking [3] about making the unique look an actual trend. At that point though, she decided to just run with it. In an Instagram caption, Stella wrote, "Note to self: when u make a joke about starting a funny brow trend people will take it seriously and . . . well, start the trend."
The trend has since been spotted by [4] Lipstick and several beauty bloggers and enthusiasts have created the look themselves. While we know it's a hard trend to take seriously, we can't help but be drawn to it! There's just something beautiful about that shape. See for yourself, ahead.
