Where do my pimples come from?

Bella Quiz: Do You Know Where Your Spots Stem From?

Before I began my facial at The Vaishaly Clinic, owner, Vaishaly Patel inquired about my health, what foods I eat and my menstrual cycle. I was experiencing quite a bad breakout at the time, and she explained how through research and experience, she has come to understand how the effects of stress, hormones and digestion directly affect the condition of your skin.

She can even correlate which problems affect which part of the face. I found this conversation riveting and wanted to ask if you know where your spots stem from? Take this quiz to test yourself!

Very interesting. I suppose it makes sense, what goes into your body is very important and I believe in this. If you drink a lot of water your skin is more hydrated, so it would make sense if food or digestion problems affected your skin. I have lactose intolerance and I rarely get breakouts because I drink lactose free milk, but usually if I do it's around my chin.

Tea--mostly green, red (rooibus), white, mate..but I drink all kinds at some point. I drink tea instead of water or anything else between/after meals. It also helps with losing weight--keeps you regular, and that shows up in your skin also. I drink 2-6 cups daily.

I should add that I don't smoke and avoid it as much as possible, and only occasionally drink alcohol (maybe once a month, besides communion wine). That will make an impact also.

Bee- What kind of tea?

Interesting, but apparently I have digestive problems considering my main breakout areas are my forehead and cheeks.

Most are from stress, too much junk food/sugar, hormones, and contact whether phone, hands, clothing, product... However, I noticed a HUGE improvement once I decreased dairy, increased tea, dk chocolate and veggies. (tea was key)ie, detoxing my system, if you will. Took away female pain/facial bump issues.

3/4 Although I rarely have digestion problems...

2/4. I got the last two correct. I believe this since I have been having digestion problems recently and my forehead flared up. I deal with alot of stress and always have at least one zit on my cheek area. I used to get nasty zits from having to much dairy, so I switched to more soy products and it calmed down. However I definitely deal with the hormonal imbalance; my back & chest always flare up around the time of my period.

What was her source?

I don't know how much I believe this. I always thought forehead pimples were from hair products, I get them between my brows after I get them waxed, ones on my cheeks usually come from sweat in the summer, my nose usually gets them if my skin gets too oily, my chin if I drool at night, and around my mouth I do believe is hormones.
