Why Isn’t Anyone Talking About Your Sun Mustache?
Beauty News
I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream For E.L.F.'s New Ice Cream Brush

Would You Get Eyelash Extensions?

Last week I met a high-powered executive who told me that she can’t be bothered with creams, potions, and all the hype of makeup. She claims that her only indulgence is a weekly deep-conditioning treatment and that her total primping time is 15 minutes (shower included).

I almost believed her until she took off her sunnies and revealed a set of shiny, long lashes. I asked her if they were extensions, and she said, "Yes, $300 and two hours will get you this low-maintenance look." We both laughed, but clearly she was embarrassed.

I see nothing wrong with getting eyelash extensions — especially not after my experience with them. They last long, they look beautiful, and you never ever have to worry about applying or taking of your mascara. If you can afford it, I say why not? What's your take on eyelash extensions?

Please correct the grammar error, "or taking of your mascara"

I don't really need them

I was given long choppy lashes, which are a nightmare. Ever so often, I wake up with my eyelashes tangled together, which hurts, a lot. And god forbid if I forget to curl them before using mascara! They would just stick together and my makeup would eventually smudge from me trying to desperately detangle my lashes. Extensions sound nice, but I'm too traumatized from my choppy lashes to even consider it!

Why does waterproof make lashes fall out? I've used it for years and don't see any problems w/lashes falling out. Just curious.

and kahribar, i'm sure you can still use mascara with extensions, you can even still use mascara with fakeys

sounds like an infection waiting to happen plus, stuff as tame as waterproof mascara can cause eyelashes to fall out and grow back less and less, this is probably worse

i don't need them with my long dark lashes. but i wouldn't be opposed to it if i didn't have my lashes.

i have eyelash extensions in right now!!! they are definitely worth the money!!! they look completely natural and they're easy to take care of! just be careful of the makeup remover you use! my mom even has them in, so when someone asks me where i got my long eyelashes from, i can say, "from my mother!" lol.

No, it's just not something I would want. I like applying and trying mascara, so extensions aren't interesting to me.

My friend got them, they looked really hot, but her eyes were watering constantly! I'd skip them. I love applying mascara, makes me feel like a lady!

Don't need them...I have very long lashes as it is! But my best friend just got this done for her wedding...it looks nice, seems like kind of a waste of money to me though.

I wouldn't, because my lashes are very long, black and curled to perfection as they are (hehe, sorry to boast ;) ). I've gone to various make-up stores to get some fun sample make-up done (Douglas, MAC) and all the makeup artists kept commenting on my lashes, they said I was ready to shoot for a mascara ad without any mascara on :) It made me feel really good. If I got these extensions I would probably look like an alien. But seriously, I think they're a bit too expensive as well. Nothing a bit of Great Lash can't do, and that's four bucks.

I guess if that is what you really want, but there are so many fun mascaras out there now that I couldn't imagine not being able to use or play with them!

I did it once, and it was really nice. I don't really need them, but it went good with my look at the time. My sister gets them because she has blonde eyelashes.

If they lasted long enough that it would equal out to the same price as my CoverGirl Lash Exact for $7/tube that I purchase every 2-3 months.. then I would. Otherwise no.

Lucky me I have long lashes, but if I didn't - no way - I don't want some strange stuff around my eyes. Mascara is just perfect for me.

I had them before - I paid $75 to have them put in. They looked nice, but they were so long that I couldn't wear my glasses properly anymore! When they come out they may take a natural lash or two with them so well, so be forewarned. I'd recommend individual false lashes for special occasions instead. One of my ex boyfriends told me that my eyelashes were his favorite feature of mine. I think since then I've spent way too much time on them.

I was born with really long lashes too, but in the past 5 years, probably due to mascara overload!! they have gone bad, all short and certainly not glossy. I would def. get eyelash extensions!! And a whole load of other stuff done as well !!!!

Definitely not. There's no way I'd let someone put little filaments near my eyes. It's guaranteed that they'd wind up breaking off and getting stuck in my contacts. I can't even use those fiber mascaras.

Applying and removing mascara really doesn't bother me so i'm not interested in this. I'd rather use that money toward something else, like laser hair removal. But I say go for it if you have the money & really want 'em though.

...the salon where I style my hair does it. I have seen a few cleints doing it..it looks really cute ! I love mascara too much to try thu =p

I think I would, I only wear moisturizer, mascara and lip balm as is so removing the mascara step wouldn't really effect anything. However, it would be hard for me to put down my Diorshow!! I look forward to it almost every morning!
