Zendaya Snatches Off Her Wig For the Twitter Haters

Zendaya is no stranger to controversy when it comes to her constantly changing coif! At this weekend's BET Awards, the star donned a supershort pixie wig, which garnered a few negative comments. "That hair is horrid," said Twitter user @si1entfire, while @YouRNOTG_ZUS said, "girl, take that damn wig off." True to form, Zendaya acknowledged (and shut down!) the hateful remarks with a few tweets of her own.

This isn't the first time Zendaya has been in the spotlight because of her strands. Earlier this year, Giuliana Rancic took to Fashion Police to joke that the teen actress' faux dreadlocks at the Oscars looked like they'd smell of "patchouli oil . . . or weed." The comments were deemed racially insensitive by many and eventually led to Giuliana's resignation from the program.
