Blake Lively is back on Instagram and already serving us some major nail-art inspiration [2]. The actor attended the Michael Kors fall/winter 2022 New York Fashion Week show looking fresh in a powder-blue three-piece suit and a subtle french manicure [3] worth adding to all your mood boards.

Lively's nail artist Elle Gerstein [4] posted an up-close picture of her elevated '90s-supermodel nails [5] with what Gerstein calls a "polar moon" design, giving the look a reverse french manicure feel [6]. Gerstein used the Luxio by Akzentz gel nail polish in Forever [7] ($17) for the warm pastel-pink base, and while she didn't share the polish used for the nail art, Luxio's Aloof [8] ($17) is a milky-white shade of the same line you could use to create a similar effect.

With french manicures continuing [9] as a strong nail-art trend in 2022, Lively's take feels like a subtle (yet sweet) approach that takes it to the next level. Her reverse french nail art, while simple, adds a special touch that takes the look from just a trend to an intentional style choice.
