It is subtle, warm, and wearable through every season [2]. You can transition this hue from Fall to Winter and even Spring into Summer [3].
"These tones can range from light iridescent gold blonds, light to medium gold, and light to medium warm gold hues," said Redken brand ambassador and colorist Cassondra Kaeding [4]. "A perk to the buttery cream and champagne blond hair color is that you can easily try these hues without having to make a big change."
While this hair color trend [5] can be done on darker hair, it works best if you have a blond base to begin with. Celebrity colorist for Matrix George Papanikolas [6] suggests you bring instructions to your colorist for the most optimal results: "To get this color, lift the base one shade after your highlights to illuminate the color and give a soft golden finish," he said. Then, he recommends using purple-based shampoos at home to help maintain the color.
