There's a common misconception that — even though they're humans with active oil glands just like us — celebrities don't struggle with acne. Whether that stems from the airbrushed photos we see in fashion and beauty campaigns or the blemish-free selfies they sometimes share online, it's far from the truth. Plenty of stars have used their platforms to open up about their skin concerns, talking honestly about their breakouts and sometimes even sharing unfiltered photos of their flare-ups on social media.

Many celebrities have also dished on the acne treatments they swear by for clearer skin — and a lot of the time, the products are surprisingly affordable. Check out the products that celebs like Lili Reinhart and Madelaine Petsch turn to the most, ahead.

The Riverdale actress previously opened up about her cystic acne in an interview with POPSUGAR, revealing that once she began taking birth control, the breakouts "basically became nonexistent."

"I got on birth control and immediately, like within a month, I noticed that my skin was not breaking out anything like it was," she said.

After that, Murray began using the CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skin ($14), and she follows up by using aloe vera gel as a toner.

While showing fans her skin-care routine in a video filmed with Vogue, the Set It Up actress spoke about having hormonal acne and revealed the products she uses to deal with it.

"I've had hormonal acne since I was, like, I want to say 15, but it got really bad in my 20s," she said. "It shouldn't make me that self-conscious but I can't make eye contact. I don't want to go out . . . when you're going through it, it is debilitating. You have to figure out what works for you."

Some of Deutch's favorites include the iS Clinical Cleansing Complex ($44) and the Foreo Luna Play Plus Facial Scrubber ($49).

"My fans are guys and girls who can't afford a $270 face cream," she told POPSUGAR about the inspiration behind the collaboration. "I know I didn't have that pocket change when I was 15."

Reinhart also served as an ambassador for the company's lineup of Clear Start Products.

Madelaine Petsch loves a good pore strip just as much as the rest of us. In an interview with POPSUGAR in 2019, she told us that the Bioré Witch Hazel Ulta Deep Cleansing Pore Strips ($6) are like a guilty pleasure for her.

"It's the best, because then you get to look at all the good juice afterward," she said. "Oh god, I'm disgusting."
