Eight weeks after welcoming her baby girl [2], Chrissy Teigen is ready for a new look. The cookbook author unveiled her red hair in an Instagram video shared on March 8. Wearing a vibrant pink-and-blue robe, she showed off the gorgeous auburn color as her hairstylist touched up her layers. "breaking news: woman gets new hair color," she captioned the clip, adding a series of exclamation marks.
Hair colorist Matt Rez [3] transformed Teigen's former brunette, while stylist Rikke Gajda [4] gave the mom of three her bouncy, flipped ends. In addition to the dye job, she got a fresh chop that left her hair sitting at her collarbone. She had previously sported long, chest-length hair in a dark brown hue.
Red hair has been having a moment [5] since early 2021, and its popularity shows no sign of slowing down. "They've done the browns, they've dabbled into highlights, and they're like, 'Oh, I want to try something different.'"
