Fall is the season of experimentation, with many of us opting for a big hair change [2] around this time. Ciara is clearly feeling that itch to switch things up, as the star debuted yet another head-turning style on Oct. 9 while attending a gala in Los Angeles. Ciara, who previously could be seen in the seasonally appropriate pumpkin-cream hair-color trend [3], opted instead for a sandy-blond color [4] with a bottleneck-bangs haircut [5].

Celebrity hairstylist Cesar Deleon Ramirez [6] pulled the "Jump" singer's hair back from her face into a messy-bun updo hairstyle, allowing her bangs [7] and blacked-out sunglasses to really be the focus. This particular style of fringe has a rounded center with longer face-framing pieces on either side. Unlike bangs that go straight across the face for a striking look, bottleneck bangs add a softness to the hairstyle that pairs nicely with her cool-toned blond hair color with dark shadow roots [8]. The combo of these characteristics gives the style an effortless, lived-in feel while still being polished.

It's likely Ciara's latest hair transformation comes courtesy of a wig, but if you're looking to take the plunge and go for the cut, bottleneck bangs are predicted to be a big trend for the fall and winter [9] months. Take a look at the star's new hair below.
