Doja Cat debuted a whole new look for her 2022 Super Bowl commercial: purple hair. The singer switched up her dark brown hair [2] for a rich amethyst-purple shade [3] for her circus-themed video campaign with Taco Bell. Who knew that the brand's logo could inspire such a stunning hair transformation [4]?

Although the change-up was only temporary and came by way of a long, voluminous wig, the deep purple looks like it was made for Doja. Her hairstylist Jared Henderson [5], also known as JStayReady on Instagram, created the bold style for her using Joico hair-dye products. "We went purple 😈 And of course I used my @joico color intensity to give me the perfect shade," Henderson captioned [6] a gallery on the social media app. To get the vibrant color, he used the in-salon treatment Joico Color Intensity in Amethyst Purple first, followed by the shade Lilac on a 22-inch platinum-blond wig. After that, he shampooed and conditioned with the Defy Damage Protective Shampoo [7] ($22) and Conditioner [8] ($23).
