Dove Cameron is welcoming her 27th birthday with a new hair color [2]. On Jan. 16, the actor posted a sneak peek of her new look on her Instagram Stories with a blurry picture that will have you running to the hair salon.

The new bright-red color [3] is a stark difference from the deep chocolate-brown shade [4] that Cameron was previously sporting. To get the look, her stylist, Jacob Rozenberg [5], used a mix of the Goldwell Topchic [6] ($15), Goldwell Colorance [7] ($15), and Goldwell Pure Pigments (salon only) lines for a custom color that he calls "cherry pop."

In her picture, the singer's hair is styled in tousled curls and stops just short of her hips. She paired the new look with a pouty lip and a sultry black cutout top. In a corresponding main-feed post, she also has matching red nails [8] to really bring the look home.

Red hair has been a popular color choice this year, and if Cameron is any indication, it doesn't look like the trend is going anywhere. Kendall Jenner [9] made waves after dyeing her hair a copper red during Milan Fashion Week and other stars like Emma D'Arcy [10] and Lucy Boynton [11] have also debuted the color.
